At 10:23am on January 30th, more than four hundred homeopathy skeptics nationwide took part in a mass homeopathic ‘overdose’ in protest at Boots’ continued endorsement and sale of homeopathic remedies, and to raise public awareness about the fact that homeopathic remedies have nothing in them.
That was over six months ago, events have now moved on, so where are they now? Well, would you believe that they have just finished filming with the BBC the production of their latest offering … “Homeopathic Vodka”.
Basically they start with the real stuff then proceed to dilute it down, homeopathic style, until there is in effect not one single molecule of alcohol left. Now, as we all know, water has a memory (yea right!), so it will have been imprinted with all that alcohol and be just as potent as the original … or perhaps I’ve got that wrong and its the reverse, and will now be a super potent homeopathic hangover cure.
Truly satire at its very best, and so I raise my glass and salute these folks for it … with a glass of the real stuff of course.
