So yes, it is June now and the “Angel of Death” has been a no-show. OK, what the back story here to all this?
Here is a buildup.
In 2022 Rachel Hamm decided to run for secretary of state in California because, she claimed, “Jesus himself” appeared in a closet in her home and presented her with a scroll telling her to do so. Inevitably her campaign was filled with wild whacky tales and conspiracy theories. She lost, and of course she claimed her primary had been “stolen”.
She then moved on to declaring that God has chosen Trump to be president again and that she will be his press secretary. To ensure she is on the radar she now makes regular trips to Mar-a-Lago. Here she is hanging out with the other groopies …

I have no doubt that a rather delighted Trump is happy to welcome her with eagerly open arms ready to grab her, because she is just his type – young, blond, very stupid, deeply delusional, and vigorously supports his lies.
So what is the death angel twist to all this?
Last March she claimed in a video she put out that that “globalists” plan to kill most of us, but God would intervene and save us by sending a “death angel” to the U.S. Capitol in May to kill lots of elected leaders.
So yes, it’s June now, so how has she responded to her failed decree from God?
She has done what such delusional people always do, she doubled down on the claim. On June 1st this past week she put out a clip in which she expressed the thought that she is “super frustrated” that the “death angel” didn’t show, but says she is still holding out hope: “We’re praying that it’s still gonna come. We’re praying that it’s soon. We’re sad that it didn’t already happen.“
Let me run that last bit past you for emphases … she is sad that lots of people were not slaughtered.
Her excuse … “Its May on the Hebrew calendar, so we still have a few extra weeks to go“.
The terms “family values” and “pro life” take on a whole new twist when you realise that some of these people are very sincerely hoping the angel of death shows up to take care of those whose “crime” is that they don’t believe lots of crazy stuff.
One other key point here is that she is not just a lone nutter, but is seeking influence with he-who-must-not-be-named in Mar-a-Lago. She just might have influence. Franklin Roosevelt famously said in 1933 “the only thing we have to fear is…fear itself “, but in this specific case, we need to be utterly terrified of stupid, because that’s deeply scary stuff.
Moving on, below you will once again find my usual selection of some truly bizarre and extreme claims that have popped up during the last 7 days. Each is laced with my snarky commentary. With my usual hat tip to my various sources, let’s dive in so that we can laugh at it all.
Christian Nationalism
- Lance Translator: “demonic strongholds” = anything and everything that does not embrace his specific batty beliefs 100% without criticism.
- Lance Translator: “Target 17 Counties” = We have a tent we will put up in 17 places and do a bit of religious theatre in it, so all you gullible suckers need to get donating now to enable this magic stuff to happen.
- His list of “demonic strongholds” includes those well-known bastions of demons, counties in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, and Texas. Apparently CA and NY get a clean bill of health, no “demonic strongholds” in those deeply blue states for him to target.
Jack Hibbs declares that “if we do not submit ourselves to God, then there is really no America.”
- What exactly does “submit ourselves to God” actually mean? My point is that there is no consensus, no agreement at all, on what god is supposedly asking for. This, if it was actually embraced, sets the stage for a great deal of religious conflict.
Alternative Memorial Days
Matt Evans (aka Beardson Beardly) celebrated Memorial Day by declaring “fuck the troops.”
Lance Wallnau thinks that Memorial Day should also honor the “living martyrs” like those imprisoned for their roles in the Jan. 6 insurrection or those who lost their jobs for refusing to get a COVID-19 vaccine.
- The rather obvious flaw in his take is that Memorial Day honors those who have fought on behalf of the United States, not against it.
- Lance has never spent one day in uniform … unless of course you consider the Nazi uniform hanging in his closet
- Meanwhile, inquiring minds would like to understand what the combination of these two words actually mean – “living martyrs”. Schrodinger’s political cultists perhaps, because they’re both alive and also quite dead at the same moment in time.
Abortion
Kent Christmas proclaims that “you will never go to Heaven if you vote for anybody that stands for abortion.”
- Prior to the late 1970s Evangelicals were pro-abortion, at that time they were big into racial segregation. They switched to Abortion because it was a better look.
- I’m honestly not motivated to want to go to Heaven if it is populated by obnoxious homophobic turds like Mr Christmas, that would make it a literal hell.
- Reminder: The “Pro-Life” crowd worship a God that had a hissy-fit and slaughtered every single thing on the planet except for one guy on a boat.

Tyler Russell very clearly lays out what the far-right white nationalist base really wants: “We don’t want freedom. We want a total Trumpian Reich. We want dictator Trump. … We want all these people who are traitors to this nation to go to jail.”
- So yea, he really did roll with the word “Reich” there. Basically Fascists-R-Us
- Irony Alert: This guy is not a US citizen, he is Canadian – Expose of him here.

Looks like Mr Fredericks, the Goochland Virginia based conservative radio talk show host, is having an epiphany moment … “We’ve been lied to, misled, and played like dumb-shits.”
Homophobia on Steroids
Christian hate-preacher Duncan Urbanek claims (falsely) that LGBTQ people want rights so they can eventually “lower the age of consent.“
- Meanwhile Republicans are actively trying to lower the minimum legal age of the children they want to marry … see here, and here, and here, and here.
Jason Rapert got himself ready for Pride Month: “As the LGBTQ Cult unleashes another month of unholiness, unrighteousness and immorality in our nation, I stand to say that God will not be mocked. I pray that the Holy Spirit will increase and sweep across this nation, convicting men and women of their sins, prompting repentance across the United States.”
- Reminder: For those that are religious, it is well worth understanding that the heart of the claim that the Bible is clear “that being gay is forbidden by God” is poor biblical scholarship and a cultural bias read into the Bible. It does not actually say that at all.
- What the bible is actually clear about is that it is a very pro-slavery text from cover to cover, yet nobody would advocate for that. The text is in many respects a mirror – what people find there is justification for their own pre-existing hatred, fear, and bigotry.

Truly Bizarre
Nick Fuentes claims that when he was growing up “everybody [on the internet] said the N-word, everybody loved Hitler”: “You’d log onto the Food Network website and say, ‘I’m gonna kill your entire family, you N-word. Hitler’s awesome.’”
- This perhaps says rather a lot about him and the people he hung out with growing up … and very little about everybody else outside that bubble.
- I’m not exactly convinced that he was a guy who regularly logging into the Food Network website while growing up … nor am I convinced that he has completed growing up yet.
David Lane fumes that “God’s enemies—Big Business, Big Tech, Bud Light, Fortune 500, and Big Biden—venerate the golden calves of multiculturalism, political correctness and secularism as they incite instability in the culture, whip up division between races, and promote political upheaval. Deifying wokeism, Critical Race Theory, DEI [diversity, equity, inclusion], and radical environmentalism, the State’s sacrosanct sacraments include abortion, ‘anti-racism’ struggle sessions, vaccines, and obsessive recycling.”
- David Lane Translator: Mr Lane is pissed that businesses don’t exclusively pander to his specific variation of extreme beliefs but instead cater to everybody, and that supposedly makes them the … “Enemies of his God“
- Meanwhile, the folks who are actually striving to … “incite instability in the culture, whip up division between races, and promote political upheaval” … would include Mr Lane and his cult devotees.
Sen. Josh Hawley told Sean Feucht that “the left” believes that the institution of the family “is racist” and wants to destroy it.
- Hands up all of you who actually think that the institution os the family is racist … anybody … anybody at all … how about weird Bob sitting there in the back? …. (listens to the sound of tumbleweed as not one single hand is raised).
Laura Loomer is threatening to move to Georgia to launch a primary campaign against Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene.
- Who the hell would you root for in this showdown? … easy, any Democrats who also stands.

- Bible Jesus: “Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the Kingdom of God.”. Republican Jesus … “fuck the poor, billionaires need the tax breaks”.
- Clearly for this modern variation of Christianity empathy is a long forgotten and discarded concept.
The False Profit$
Last April, Lance Wallnau prophesied that there would be a wave of “sudden deaths coming in May” (so yes, he was into that claim as well, some claim copying was clearly going on here) as God started killing those who have been “standing in the path” of former President Donald Trump.
- It’s now June and … (insert drum roll here) … yep, it never happened. Really not a surprise since his “prophecy” track record is that he always gets it wrong.
QAnon conspiracy theorist/self-proclaimed “prophet” Johnny Enlow asserts that “there is presently no real democracy on the planet” because more than 90 percent of governmental leaders around the world are being blackmailed due to their involvement in pedophilia.
- Evidence for this claim … nothing at all.
- Mr Enlow appears to spend a great deal of time thinking about pedophilia. I am however convinced that he would not want anybody to check his browser history.
Shane Vaughn is confident that Target will cave to conservative Christians because they’re the only ones with money: “The little LBGTQSers and who all they are don’t have jobs. They smoke weed from the time they get up ’til the time they go to bed in their mother’s basement.”
- When he next visits the big city and drives through neighbourhoods of historic mansions, wondering with wide eyes, “who lives THERE?” … should we tell him?
- Ban books, ban teaching history, ban bud lite, and now ban rainbows on clothes … but god forbid that we ban the things that cause actual harm such as Guns.
